Cycle through towns or walk along the tow path of Belgium and France's scenic waterways while enjoying the fresh air and slower pace of life.
On board Maria you'll find comfortable cabins with queen beds with down comforters. The salon is light and airy with central heating. Watch the sun set while enjoying dinner and enjoying a glass of wine on the outside deck.
As we are self contained, we are able to purchase local produce, fruit, cheese, wine and delicacies of the region. Enjoy local gourmet cuisine without the cost of restaurants.
...A couple of hundred folks were having wine and cheese, playing frisbee, laying on blankets smooching with their sweeties and just relaxing to wait for the tower to light up. As the evening drew on the tower turned a deep blue and at 9 PM the tower started to sparkle as it lite up. The crowd all went oooohhhh, aaaahhhh all at the same time while clapping in appreciation. It was a wonderful moment...

...We spent the afternoon walking the dunes and then up to the lighthouse which must have been at least 150 ft above sea level... On the way back to the ferry we stopped in a local restaurant and enjoyed fresh asparagus (which was in season) with ham and Hollandse sauce; the special of the day...

...Vernessa was on the deck with her watercolors. Every now and then I'd see a huge grin on her face as she looked down the canal; the landscape with its puffy clouds passing by. She'd pick up her brush and with quick sure strokes create images from her impressions and visual gatherings. I had the privilege of watching a true artist at work. Being able to offer someone such an experience and to receive what came back made my heart sing. It's one of life's joys...
